What GhostMe is
Some people only need to reach you for a little while: a buyer for your couch, the person picking it up on Saturday, someone you've just met. GhostMe gives you a chat for exactly that.
You create the chat on your iPhone and share one link. The other person opens it in any browser, with no app, no sign-up and no account. Nobody's phone number or handle is shared. When you're done, you ghost the chat and it's gone for good.

FAQ
Does the other person need the app?
No. They open your link in any web browser and can reply right away, with no app, no sign-up, and no account. If they already have GhostMe, the link opens there too.
Is my phone number shared?
No. Nobody's phone number or handle is shared. The other person sees the chat and the alias you choose, not your number.
What happens when I ghost a chat?
The chat closes for everyone and is deleted from our server, messages and all. (If a chat was reported, we keep a copy of its recent messages for up to 30 days so we can review it.) Nobody can reopen it. Talking again takes a new link from a host.

What if someone is abusive?
You can report a message or a whole chat, and we review every report within 24 hours. Hosts can remove anyone from a chat. If you opened someone's link in the app, you can block that host, and anyone can leave a chat at any time. We have zero tolerance for abuse.
Can I get my chat back after I ghost it?
No. A ghosted chat is gone for good, and we can't restore it. GhostMe also can't stop someone from taking a screenshot, so share only what you're comfortable sharing.
